'Cats can be petty too': Humans recall hissterical anecdotes about their cats getting petty revenge

Hey, fellow humans. One thing we know for sure about cats, they are much smarter than most people believe them to be. Despite being smol in stature, cats pay incredibly detailed attention to social cues and they know exactly when someone is directing negative energy towards them. Thus, they can also be absurdly petty, when the situation calls for such behavior. 

Today we are tippy tapping down a black hole in the middle of Reddit, where cat-owning folks gathered to share their own hissterical anecdotes about their cats getting petty revenge and dealing justice, you might want to buckle up for this one. These hilarious anecdotes purrfectly sum up how brilliantly mischievous cats can be, and we are here for it. Some such instances of petty revenge consist of cats defecating on their humans' clothing or linens after being told off, as well as cats turning their backs to their humans after long stretches of lackluster distribution of attention.     Growing up, we had a big white cat named Jerry. Laid back, chill kinda cat. Jerry decides one day to sharpen his claws on the side of the couch, right in front of Mom's recliner, while she was reading. Mom yells at him to stop. He ignores her.

    She yells again, he ignores her. Finally she throws her paperback novel at him, and whacks him in the butt with it. He runs off startled. Mom retrieves her book and goes back to reading. Few hours later, Mom goes to get out of her chair. She looks left. There she sees the kitchen table, the chair with her long white winter jacket hanging on the back of it, and Jerry, standing in front of the jacket staring her direction.

One night when we were playing Magic the Gathering, she took a p on his collection folder. Justifying desserts in my opinion

    sweaters. But whenever I fought with my ex, Maurycy would ps on every single item of my ex he would find. And then go back to sleep in my sweater. Those all were clean clothes. Washed in the same detergents. How he knew which were mine and which were my ex, I have no idea. But he never piss on anything of mine, but he never miss anything of my exes.

    latents 3mo ago My coworker's friend's cat didn't like it when they went away. After they returned, he'd climb up on a shelf. He'd sit there waiting until they looked at him so they would see there was no question that it was a deliberate action and not an accident. He'd reach out and knock something (preferably fragile) off the shelf while they watched.

    Dad went with me to pick out kitten and she loved him more than anyone else. Sweet little girl, but she had an evil streak. Had a boyfriend in HS and would buy red roses. That little imp (6-8 pound size) would find ways to get thru 2 doors to destroy red roses. White or yellow... nope. But red - shredded from my bedroom, down the stairs and all over the family room.

My boyfriend wanted me to close the door on him as the cat kept wanting to be in and out of the room, meowing incessantly.     summergirl76 • 3mo ago I had a cat that would always throw up on my blanket on my bed every time I went on vacation. One time I had three different blankets on my bed. The only one she threw up on was mine lol. For a day or two after getting back from vacation she would also come into the livingroom, meow until we looked at her, then she would sit with her back towards us. She was hilarious.

Came back cat acted all happy to see us, ran up to the bedroom and onto the bed ahead of us. Stood dead centre of the bed, looked us dead in the eyes, and squatted.

    sybann 3mo ago When I was young (MANY years ago) we had a Siamese who would pee about the amount contained in a bottle cap in the center of each of our beds when we'd leave her at home overnight. She only did it if we were gone what she considered too long - overnight. And she only loved my mother.
